    We are delighted to host a conference session at the Biennial International Conference for the Craft Sciences (BICCS 2025) at Mariestad, Sweden. The BICCS conference supports a variety of formats, from academic publications, crafting demonstrations, video, performances and exhibition formats.

    Session #1 Creative “conversations” with materials:

    This session explores aspects of material engagement, embodiment, imagination and serendipity during creative making processes

  • Welcome Erasmus+ intern Lina Schilling

    From January to April 2025, MA in Philosophy Lina Schilling from Freiburg, will do her Erasmus+ internship within the project.

    Lina is responsible for transcription, coding & analysis, as well as supporting the increasing number of interviews we are doing with crafts experts.

    Kick-off meeting

    The official kick-off of the project happened with all collaborators present in Vienna!

    Topics of discussion were interviews with crafts experts, coding and analysis, as well as outreach and knowledge transfer to crafts experts.

    We also visited and had excellent discussions with the head of the ceramics workshop Sasha Zaitseva at University of Applied Arts, Vienna, and Dr. Rainald Franz, Custode of Ceramics and Glass at Museum of Applied Arts, Vienna.
